Hi @edwing357, you can make them without the dates, just add the extra sugar I mentioned from the original recipe.

I have raisins and a bit of peanuts , I would lack oatmeal, to make a similar version, your preparation left me craving hahaha I have a sweet tooth , later I will go for some oatmeal to the supermarket 😊 or heck I lack coconut 🫨.
Oh dear, you need to go shopping! Oats (the flakes, not oatmeal, I need to specify that in the recipe😉) and Coconut, both are must-have ingredients in this recipe.
I'm also a sweet tooth but am trying to cut back on sugar hence the use of dates which is a healthy way of sweetening.
