Hello my friends, I hope you are all doing well and that your week is being successful. Today I want to share with you all my entry to the contest offered by the qurator team, Qurator's: Hive Top Chef! | Peanuts. This week the ingredient is: peanuts. There are many things we can prepare with this great ingredient, which I love, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to prepare something delicious. I decided to make a delicious peanut nougat. I learned how to make it a while ago and since then I have been making it, especially at Christmas. Here in Venezuela, nougats are usually very expensive at Christmas time, so I better make it at home. It's my nougat style hahaha, but I assure you the flavor is exquisite, the mix of peanuts with caramel and chocolate is irresistible. And we can make it on any occasion, not just Christmas.
Peanut Nougat, with chocolate coating.

Ingredients:

150 g roasted peanuts.
100 g sugar.
120 ml heavy cream.
1 tablespoon peanut butter.
40 g butter.
80 g vanilla cookies.
100 g chocolate (I used chocolate chips).
A pinch of salt.
--
Preparation:
1- First, grind the vanilla cookies in the food processor to make the nougat base.

2- Next, add the cookies to a bowl and mix with the melted butter. Mix well. Add the cookies to a baking pan lined with baking paper. Spread the cookies evenly, and bake for 5 minutes.

3- Once the time has elapsed, remove from the oven and set aside. To make the nougat filling, place the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and wait for the caramel to form. When this happens, add the cream and peanut butter, beating very quickly to combine. Next, add the 150g of peanuts and a pinch of salt. Remove from heat and stir well until everything is well combined.

4- Add the previous mixture to the mold with the cookie base, spread evenly, and place in the refrigerator while we melt the chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted, add the final layer of this delicious nougat and place in the freezer for approximately 2 hours.

5- After the time has passed, remove from the freezer, chop into bars or squares, as you prefer, and enjoy this delicious combination of flavors.
Note: I recommend leaving it in the refrigerator for a while. I chopped it before it hardened and I couldn't cut it into bars.
Now I say goodbye my friends, this has been my entry to the contest, I hope you liked this delicious recipe, the perfect snack, it is very easy to make, and I am sure everyone at home will like it, until next time, blessings.
