Carbohydrates and protein come together in my homemade cheese baked steamed sweet potatoes

It's been a long time since I shared a food recipe in this group. There is a longing that bothers me, and not only that, it has been a long time since I cooked non-vegan food for myself and my husband because I have started to learn to reduce non-vegan food in my daily life. But that doesn't mean I don't consume it at all. and tonight I will share a recipe that can be categorized as a snack or main meal at the same time.



The ingredients I will prepare to make this recipe are:

1. sweet potato

Sweet potato is a form of food that contains high carbohydrates, but unfortunately, in my country, for example, sweet potato is only used as a snack, not the main ingredient, so I categorize this recipe as an afternoon snack to accompany warm tea. and to make this recipe I need 2 medium sized sweet potatoes.

2. mozzarella cheese
The amount of mozzarella cheese is adjusted to the amount of sweet potato used and I don't use too much because I will only use it as a topping.

3. salt
I also use salt as an additional ingredient so that the sweet potatoes I produce are tasty

4. eggs
In this recipe I use 1 egg, if you want to use more, no problem, it will actually be even tastier, especially if you use the egg as a topping. I happened to break the egg and put it on a plate

5. butter for baking
I only use butter as needed as a lubricant when roasting sweet potatoes in my Teflon.



How to make my snacks is:

1, wash and clean the sweet potato from any dirt attached, then without peeling the skin, split it into two parts lengthwise.

2. After that, steam the sweet potatoes until cooked

3. After the sweet potatoes are cooked, take out the flesh and leave the skin

4. After taking the sweet potato flesh, mix it with the beaten egg and salt, then mix with the sweet potato flesh and mash until smooth.

5. After that, put the crushed sweet potato back into the skin that we deliberately left earlier. then on top of the sweet potato add the mozzarella pieces

6. Then heat the Teflon and margarine in it, then after the margarine is hot, add the sweet potatoes

7. Then grill for approximately 5 minutes over low heat until the mozzarella melts
Once the mozzarella has melted, remove the sweet potatoes and enjoy the sweet potatoes while hot.



My recipe does take a little time to make, but if you have an air fryer you can use it. However, the taste is slightly different if the sweet potatoes are steamed first and then baked. the taste will be much softer and more delicious on the tongue. but whatever it is, let's enjoy the making process and thank you for reading my blog and accepting my recipe.
