Hello dear community of #FoodiesBeehive, it's a pleasure to be here after weeks of absence sharing a simple recipe for a delicious lizard soup. I'm going to give you the preparation 🥣 process.

Hola querida comunidad de #FoodiesBeehive, es un placer estar por acá después de semanas de ausencia compartiendo una sencilla receta de una exquisita sopa de lagarto. Paso a dar el proceso de preparación🥣.


Step by step//Paso a paso


Ingredients//Ingredientes:


  • 01 kg of lizard.
  • 02 lt of water.
  • 01 kg of yucca.
  • 250 gr of chopped seasoning (onion, garlic, coriander, paprika, chives).
  • 100 gr of pumpkin.
  • 100 gr of potatoes.
  • 100 grams of carrots.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 01 teaspoon of oregano.
  • Cn of vinegar.
  • 01 lemon(juice)
  • 01 kg de lagarto.
  • 02 lt de agua.
  • 01 kg de yuca.
  • 250 gr de aliños picado (cebolla, ajo, cilantro, pimentón, cebollino)
  • 100 gr de auyama.
  • 100 gr de papas.
  • 100 gr de zanahorias.
  • Sal al gusto.
  • 01 cdita de orégano.
  • C/n de vinagre.
  • 01 limón(jugo)

Preparation//Preparación:


Lizard soup

Portion:06 servings.

  • The pieces of lizards are washed with vinegar, then refrigerated for two hours, then placed in the pressure cooker with the water, salt and half of the chopped seasonings.
  • They are cooked for 20 minutes.
  • Separately, peel the yucca, potato, carrot, and pumpkin and chop them in medium size squares.
  • When the minutes of cooking are completed, turn off and uncover the pot, add the chopped vegetables and the other half of the seasonings.
  • Add water to cover all the ingredients and test the salt level.
  • Cover the pressure cooker and cook for 20 more minutes.
  • After the time is up, uncover and check that everything is ready.

Sopa de lagarto

Porción:06 raciones.

  • Las piezas de lagartos se lavan con vinagre, después refrigerar por dos horas, posteriormente se colocan en la olla de presión con el agua, la sal y la mitad de los aliños picados.
  • Se cocinan por 20 minutos.
  • Aparte se pelan la yuca, papa, zanahoria, la auyama y se pican en cuadros medianos.
  • Cuando se cumplen los minutos de cocinado, se apaga y destapa la olla, alli agregamos las verduras picadas y la otra mitad de aliños.
  • Se agrega agua hasta tapar todos los ingredientes y probar el punto de sal.
  • Se tapa la olla de presión y se cocina por 20 min más.
  • Luego de cumplirse en tiempo se destapa y probamos que todo esté en su punto.

15 days ago, I made this soup at my husband's request, because some of his children were coming. Then I didn't have the meat or the yucca. I went out very early to the butcher shop and bought the lizard, since there was no rib. And I bought the yucca at the fruit store, there were no beans.

I arrived home, preparing everything to make it for lunchtime.
Everything was accomplished to obtain this delicious lizard soup with lemon drops and arepas.

Years ago, every Sunday, I traditionally made rib and lizard soup. But the situation and the consumption of it was waning. The purchasing power is not enough, now the doctors recommend that the soup is consumed for its benefits of calcium and collagen. Now I make it very occasionally, because it is somewhat expensive. I have seen in the butcher's shop that they make a kind of cow among all the family members to make it weekly.

Precisely this Sunday I made this recipe again, my son by chance came and enjoyed this dish, he loves it.

Hace 15 días realicé esta sopa a petición de mi esposo, porque iba a venir unos de sus hijos. Entonces no tenía la carne ni la yuca. Salí muy temprano a la carnicería y compré el lagarto, ya que no había costilla. Y compré en la frutera la yuca, no había jojotos.

Llego a casa, preparando todo para realizarla para la hora de almuerzo.
Se cumplió con todo para obtener esta deliciosa sopa de lagarto con gotas de limón y arepas.

Años atrás todos los domingos por tradición hacía sopas de costillas, lagarto. Pero fue menguando la situación y el consumo de ella. El poder adquisitivo no es suficiente, ahora los médicos recomienda que se consuma la sopa por sus beneficios del calcio y el colágeno. Ahora la realizo muy de vez en cuando, porque es algo costosa. He visto en la carnicería que realizan una especie de vaca entre todos los familiares para realizarla semanalmente.

Precisamente este domingo realicé nuevamente esta receta, mi hijo por casualidad llegó y disfrutó de este plato, a él le encanta.
