Last Friday, I went for a walk with Ricardo to Vereda del Lago, but first we looked for something to eat since it was already dinnertime. On the way, we were discussing our options and remembered a street food stand we’d seen on a previous visit that sells hot dogs.
The place is called Dog House, and it’s a very colorful and eye-catching spot. When we arrived, there were several diners; the tables and chairs are set up outdoors, creating an atmosphere where the pleasant breeze that connects the city with nature really stands out.
The menu offers a variety of hot dog options ranging in price from $1.70 to $3.00. They also have a unique twist compared to what we’re used to, as they combine the sausage with various ingredients in very creative ways. They also offer a kids’ menu featuring mini hot dogs and small burgers.
We chose three options: a Vereda Dog, an American Dog, and a Tasty Dog. We selected these based on the ingredients we like and what was on the menu, since we didn’t have any prior recommendations and had high expectations regarding their taste. We also ordered black tea to go with them.
The hot dogs arrived, and at first glance, they looked quite tempting. The Vereda Dog and the Tasty Dog came loaded with cheese. My favorite was the Vereda Dog—the combination of the smoked sausage, bacon sauce, and mozzarella cheese is out of this world. The one I liked the least was the American Dog; its sausage was good, but the combination of pickles, onion, and mustard didn’t turn out as I expected. The black tea was one of the best I’ve ever tasted.
Ricardo and I each ate half of one so we could have the full experience, and we were satisfied. I thought we’d need another one, but we didn’t, since they were the perfect size. I’d go back to try the ones we missed, or maybe I’d order the Vereda Dog again to relive its flavor.

Buenas noches, amigos y comidistas del mundo.
El pasado viernes fui a dar un paseo con Ricardo a la Vereda del Lago, pero primero buscamos que comer porque ya era momento de cenar, en el camino íbamos hablando de nuestras posibles opciones y recordamos un puesto de comida callejera que habíamos visto en una anterior visita y que ofrecen perros calientes.
El sitio lleva por nombre Dog House y es un puesto muy colorido y llamativo, cuándo llegamos habían varios comensales, las mesas y sillas se encuentran distribuidas al aire libre y con un ambiente donde destaca la brisa agradable que une a la ciudad con la naturaleza.
El menú ofrece diversas opciones de perros calientes con precios que can desde 1,7$ a 3$ además tienen un toque distinto a lo que estamos acostumbrados ya que combinan la salchicha con distintos ingredientes de manera muy creativa, también cuentan con un menú infantil de tequeños y hamburguesas pequeñas.
Nosotros elegimos tres opciones, un Vereda Dog, un American Dog y un Tasty Dog, tomamos en cuenta estás opciones en base a los ingredientes que nos gustan y que se encontraban en el menú, ya que no teníamos una recomendación previa y llevábamos una alta espectactiva con respecto a su sabor, además pedimos un té negro como bebida acompañar.
Llegaron los perros calientes y a simple vista se veían bastante provocativos, el Vereda Dog y el Tasty Dog venían con bastante queso, mi favorito fue el Vereda Dog la combinación de la salchicha ahumada, la salsa de tocineta y el queso mozarella es delirante, el que menos me gusto fue el American Dog, su salchicha estaba bueno, pero la combinación de pepinillos, cebolla con la mostaza no resultó como esperaba, el té negro fue uno de los mejores que he probado.
Ricardo y yo comimos una mitad de cada uno para así tener una experiencia completa y quedamos satisfechos, yo pensaba que íbamos a necesitar uno más pero no fue así, ya que tenían el tamaño ideal, volvería para probar los que nos faltaron o quizás repetiría el Vereda Dog para revivir su sabor.
