Good morning, foodies!
Before the end of the year, we were invited to celebrate the birthday of a friend of Ricardo's at the Trovas restaurant. To be honest, I didn't know the place, so it was my first time there. It is located in San Francisco, in the La Coromoto neighborhood.
The Trovas restaurant is elegant and spacious. You can eat there as long as you make a reservation in advance. It has a beautiful indoor area and an outdoor terrace, which was the space reserved for the celebration. I spent almost the entire evening there and really liked some of the details, such as the woven hanging lamps that adorned the ceiling and a couple of swings.
To start, we ordered some cocktails. Ricardo ordered a Buena Vibra and I ordered a Mojito. We rarely drink alcoholic beverages, but we made an exception that day because it was a celebration. The rest of our companions ordered Piña Coladas and Whiskey. I really liked my choice. It wasn't too strong, and the combination of mint and lemon was perfect and in just the right amounts. I only had one glass because I felt a little dizzy after drinking it.
Then it was time to order food. Ricardo chose chicken patacón and I chose a special salad, as I wanted to eat something different from the restaurant's regular menu and not street food. The rest of the group, including the birthday boy, chose hamburgers, patacones, pizza, and arepón.
When the food arrived, I thought the portions were excessive. The patacón was enormous, and my salad was even bigger. I have to admit that I couldn't finish it all and had to take half home with me. But what I can tell you is how special it was, apart from being colorful. The ingredients were fresh and included tomato, lettuce, corn, chicken, mozzarella cheese, and chicken ham cubes, along with a mustard-based dressing that was a little tart but went perfectly with each ingredient. My choice was deliriously delicious. I liked trying something different and not what I usually eat.
I hope to return soon to try more dishes from the Trovas menu. For now, I bid you farewell.

¡Buenos días, comidistas!
Antes de terminar el año, fuimos invitados a celebrar el cumpleaños de un amigo de Ricardo, en el restaurante Trovas, francamente yo no conocía dicho lugar, así que era mi primera vez ahí, se encuentra ubicado en San Francisco exactamente en la Urbanización La Coromoto.
El restaurante Trovas, es elegante y amplio, se puede comer en sus instalaciones siempre y cuando realices previa reservación, cuenta con un hermoso espacio interno y otro externo tipo terraza que fue el espacio reservado para dicha celebración, en este espacio permanecí casi que toda la celebración la noche, me gustaron mucho algunos detalles como las lámparas colgantes tejidas que adornaban el techo al igual que un par de columpios.
Para empezar, pedimos algunas bebidas tipo cocteles Ricardo pidió un Buena Vibra y yo un Mojito, nosotros rara vez tomamos bebidas que contengan alcohol pero hicimos una excepción ese día por tratarse de una celebración, el resto de los acompañantes pidieron Piña Colada y Whisky, me gustó mucho mi elección, no estaba tan fuerte y la combinación de la menta y el limón era perfecta y en cantidades adecuadas, solo tome un vaso porque me sentí un poco mareada después de ingerido.
Luego llegó el momento de pedir la comida, Ricardo eligió un patacón de pollo y yo una ensalada especial, pues quería comer algo diferente del menú normal del restaurante y no alguna comida callejera, el resto de los acompañantes incluyendo al cumpleañero, eligieron hamburguesas, patacones, pizza y arepón.
Cuando llegó la comida, me pareció exagerada la cantidades, el patacón estaba enorme y mi ensalada ni hablar, debo decirles que no pude comerla toda y tuve que llevar la mitad a casa, pero lo que si puedo decirles era lo especial que estaba aparte de colorida, los ingredientes estaban frescos, incluía: tomate, lechuga, maíz, pollo, queso mozzarella y cubos de jamón de pollo, aparte un aderezo a base de mostaza que estaba un poco ácido pero combinaba perfectamente con cada ingredientes, si que estuvo delirante y riquísima mi elección, me gustó probar algo distinto y no lo que acostumbro siempre.
Espero volver pronto para probar más platillos del menú de Trovas, por lo pronto me despido.
