For breakfast on Sunday, I went with my boyfriend to Viva La Nonna, located in Maracaibo, specifically on Av. El Milagro, opposite the María Calcaño Library of Zulia State. This restaurant is located inside the De Candido Supermarket, where shopping is a pleasure.
I had already had the opportunity to try their delicious pasticho a few months ago, but since it was a takeaway order, I forgot to share my dining experience with you. This time, we fancied some delicious empanadas for breakfast, as many acquaintances recommend them for their size and flavor.
The atmosphere was cozy and very quiet. Since it was early and a Sunday, there weren't many people there, which was great because I wanted to enjoy my breakfast with good conversation.
At the counter, there were not only empanadas as a breakfast option, but also mandocas, pastries, cachitos, croissants, and whole-wheat empanadas. Everything looked very tempting with their golden brown crusts.
We already knew what we wanted, so we chose empanadas filled with beef and chicken, accompanied, of course, by tartar sauce, which is essential for dipping this delicious food, and two Yukery juices to drink, as we didn't want soda at that time of day. Our order was delivered immediately.
When I picked up the empanada, it was very heavy and a good size. At first bite, it was full of filling. They didn't skimp on the shredded beef. The dough was toasted and the flavor was incredible. The only complaint is that they weren't as hot as I like them. The tartar sauce was delicious and thick, just the way I like it. which made me forget that they were cold. I only ate one, and that was enough for me.
I really liked this breakfast. It's one of my favorites from our cuisine, and I could eat empanadas many times and never get tired of them.

Para desayunar el domingo fuí con mi novio a Viva La Nonna ubicado en Maracaibo específicamente la Av. El Milagro, frente a la Bibioteca María Calcaño del Estado Zulia, este restaurante se encuentra dentro de las instalaciones del Supermercado De Candido, donde comprar es un placer.
Ya había tenido la oportunidad de comer su delicioso pasticho hace algunos meses, pero como fue un pedido para llevar olvide compartir mi experiencia gastronómica con ustedes, en ésta oportunidad unas deliciosas empanadas se nos antojaban como desayuno, ya que muchos conocidos las recomiendan por su tamaño y sabor.
Su ambiente era acogedor y muy tranquilo, como era temprano y además domingo no habían tantas personas en el lugar, lo cuál fue grandioso porque quería disfrutar de mi desayuno con una buena conversación.
En el mostrador, no sólo habían empanadas como opción de desayuno, sino mandocas, pasteles, cachitos, croissant y también empanadas integrales, todo se veía muy provocativo con cubiertas bien doradas.
Ya nosotros sabíamos por lo que íbamos, así que elegimos empanadas con relleno de carne y pollo, porsupuesto con una salsa tártara que no puede faltar para untar está deliciosa comida y dos jugos Yukery para acompañar porque no queríamos tomar gaseosa a está hora, nuestro pedido fue entregado de inmediato.
Al tomar la empanada estaba muy pesada y tenía buen tamaño, al primer mordisco, estaba repleta de relleno no le negaron la carne mechada, su masa estaba tostada y su sabor era increíble, lo único reprochable es que no estaban tan calientes como me gustan, la salsa tártara estaba delirante y espesa como me encanta, eso hizo que olvidará que estaban frías, solo comí una sola y fue suficiente para mi.
Me gustó mucho este desayuno, es uno de mis favoritos de nuestra gastronomía y podría comer muchas veces empanadas y no cansarme.
