Cherry Crumble | Love it! 🍒

in Foodies Bee Hive9 months ago

Hi friends, I'm bringing back the "Recipes" section of my blog and will continue to share my favorite recipe finds. It's mid-June and summer is in full swing, so fresh fruits and berries are something you want every day! And I have cherries ripe in my garden, so I didn't have to choose a recipe for a long time. I made my choice in favor of a delicious cherry crumble with a little sourness. Let's start with the list of ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 350 gr. cherries ( without pits).
  • 200 gr. oat flakes
  • 80 gr. butter
  • 35 gr. honey
  • 25 gr. walnuts
  • 10 gr. coconut flakes

It's really quite simple, isn't it?

Affordable ingredients + good mood = delicious and healthy dessert! Let's get started!

STEP 1

Rinse the cherries well under cold water and take out the pits. Do not pour out the juice of the cherries.

STEP 2

Place the oat flakes and walnuts in the bowl of a blender. Blend until the oats are turned into flour. You can also use any other flour: rice flour, wheat flour, etc. But I decided to use oat flour specifically to make this dessert healthier.

STEP 3

This is what the oat flour should look like. The perfect base for any healthy desserts and baked goods.

STEP 4

Add soft butter to the received flour. Using your hands, rub the butter together with the oat flour until you get fine crumbs. The whole process is very easy!

STEP 5

Add the coconut flakes to the mixture. This is not a necessary step, but it will make the dessert more flavorful. You can also add chia seeds or linen seeds at your own choice.

STEP 6

Let's start preparing the baking dish. On the bottom, lay out the cherries pre-picked from the pits. We need the juice from the cherries too.

STEP 7

Pour honey on top of the cherries. I used the flower honey, I like it the best.

STEP 8

Next layer is the crumble on top of the cherries. It already looks incredibly appetizing!

STEP 9

Put the cherry crumble in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. All that is left to do is wait for about 20 minutes. And voilà incredibly delicious dessert is ready. It will please you with its delicate flavor and at the same time will not harm your body shape (because it is so important especially in summer!). I also recommend serving this with a scoop of vanilla low-calorie ice cream and a fresh mint leaf.

STEP 10

Enjoy this delicious dessert with cold berry tea!
