Enjoying a bowl of viral noodles at home is certainly something different at the dinner table. My husband is happy with his favorite noodles, which he can enjoy anytime.

Jebew Noodles

Jebew noodles are spicy noodles that went viral in Indonesia, but recently many places in my area have started selling them. Jebew noodles are known for their spiciness and also because they are mixed with many ingredients. Jebew noodles are also known as Indonesian samnyang because of their level of spiciness.

What's unique about Mie Jebew is that its spiciness can be adjusted by adding sambal according to personal preference and the desired level of heat. Personally, what I love most about this noodle dish is the tempting minced chicken topping.

Ingredients

10 red chilies
½ teaspoon of mushroom broth
½ teaspoon of salt

Chili Oil Ingredients

Prepare the chicken topping by boiling the chicken briefly in boiling water, then cut into small pieces.

Next, prepare the chili oil by blending all the ingredients, then fry them in 100 ml of oil until fully cooked. Don't forget to add salt and mushroom broth.

Then, blend the sambal ingredients and cook them in a little oil until done. Don't forget to season with mushroom broth and salt.

Chop the scallions into small pieces. All the ingredients are ready, so it's time to prepare the noodles. Mix the noodles with the sambal seasoning and chili oil until well combined. Top with ground chicken, sambal topping, and chili oil to taste.

The recipe is very simple, isn't it? I successfully made this simple jebew noodle dish at home. My husband said it was delicious, even though the level of spiciness was still very standard compared to the ones sold in stores. However, it was just right for our taste buds, with its savory spiciness, chewy noodles, and super delicious ground meat with a perfect onion aroma. What I like most is that the chili oil goes perfectly with boiled egg noodles like this.

Well, for those of you who want to try making noodles in a different way, try these noodles. These noodles are currently viral in my area. They are widely sold on street stalls at a price that I think is quite cheap. However, again, we don't know how they are processed. Preparing them at home in a simple way is much better, isn't it? Let's try the recipe!

That looks very good @nurfay, quick and easy too. Always nicer when it's prepared at home!

And it's much healthier, because we use ingredients that we know are clean.

Exactly, and with nice fresh ingredients!

It's true, enjoying a plate of Jebew noodles at home transforms the everyday into a celebration of flavours and connections. The magic of food lies in its ability to bring us together, turning a simple moment into a memorable experience.

Customising each bite with sambal not only enhances the flavour, but also symbolises our ability to adapt life to our preferences and circumstances. Just as we adjust the spiciness, we can also find ways to face the challenges that come our way, making them more bearable.

The minced chicken dressing, with its richness, reminds us that there is beauty and depth in the diversity of flavours. Each bite is an opportunity to celebrate not only the cuisine, but also the relationships we build around the table, bringing hearts together and creating lasting memories.
