A delicious dish has a character and flavor that is different from other dishes. Even though it is made with the same seasoning, it sometimes tastes far away and has its own characteristics.

This time I will invite you to prepare one of the special recipes processed from baby squid. The squid I use is small salted squid, and has been preserved by marinating. Well as we know baby squid does have a softer texture than large squid. So that it can be processed into anything, this squid has a very good taste if processed in this way.

Green Sauce Salted Squid

Green cooking salted squid is a combination of salted squid cooked with green ingredient-based seasonings just like making chili sauce. That is using chilies and green tomatoes, well although the results are not too green as usual but the taste is quite impressive. Now the spices are coarsely choppered and cooked with enough oil then stirred with cooked squid until the squid is soft.

Curious about the preparation steps in making this squid, let's look at the recipe below.

Ingredients Needed

Serve the green cooked salted squid on a plate then enjoy with rice, uhhb this is so delicious. I prepared this dish as a side dish to break the fast with my mom. She said it was her first time seeing salted squid cooked like this. But who would have thought it was so good, much better than the usual stir-fried squid dish.

Mom also said that the salted squid is much softer than the usual squid so it is processed to be very delicious like this. I'm so glad that the flavor was just right for my mom and me. We enjoyed it with warm rice together that night, it's a recipe to repeat the next day at home. Makes your appetite back to normal.

I'm sure the addition of star anise and cardamom adds a depth of aroma and warmth. It’s lovely that you got to enjoy it with your mom. I normally love butter garlic squid or beer battered. This would be something different to try for my bland palette. 😬
