Yesterday, I was informed by my coworker that the place where I work will hold a meeting with other workers from the head office. After she told me the schedule, I started to get very confused because I had a lot of work at home. It was a big event at home, but I took the time to do it by leaving when the event was about to start. That afternoon I rushed to travel from my brother's house with a distance of 20 minutes by motorcycle. Arriving at the workplace, it turned out that the event had not yet started.
Not waiting long 10 minutes later the event started, it turned out that the event was a meal with the extended family of coworkers. They prepared a simple rice box with a package that was not at all luxurious. Now before I will tell you, rice boxes are rice wrapped in a box and filled with various complete menus. Now usually this rice box is ordered at certain events such as meetings, family gatherings and many others.
After opening the rice box, I found several complete menus in the package. Among them are rice that has been doused with rendang sauce, fried chicken, chili liver gizzards, boiled cassava vegetables, chili paste and also stir-fried vegetables, and finally there is curry sauce in a plastic package.
This is a special package in a rice box, and the menu is very delicious, but you need to know that this rice box is a Padang rice package. Usually the price per box with a complete package like this is IDR.30,000.
After seeing the menu that was served I immediately tasted it one by one. Starting with stirring the rice in the box that has been seasoned with rendang sauce. The first bribe without adding any side dishes was indeed very tasty and perfectly cooked rice. And the rendang seasoning was not too spicy, the best aroma was very strong.
Next i tasted the chicken, then I dipped it with chili paste. Ahh this is also good chili paste is not too spicy very fit on my tongue. And the most important thing is that the chicken is fried not hard with the aroma of spices from the ungkep material on the chicken.
The liver sauce, they stirred the onion sauce by adding pieces of gizzard that had been fried a little wet. Then added with fried potato pieces, it was very tasty and had a strong spicy flavor. For those of you who are not spicy lovers I think this is not the right choice for you.
After tasting the sambal fried liver gizzards, I started to enjoy the stir-fried vegetables, the vegetables were still crunchy, they stir-fried them on high heat without using water so the texture of the vegetables was more crunchy and it was very good. Unlike the stir-fried vegetables, the cassava leaves were just plain dj boiled and cooked perfectly.
I think this is a great tasting boxed rice. The restaurant prepared the dishes well, I really liked everything in this box. The gravy was no exception, it was also good but there was no filling.
We all enjoyed the meal, in fact everyone enjoyed the meal while chatting. They talked about their work, and before we knew it, everyone was enjoying their meal and lost in conversation. For those of you who have never tried bok rice like this, please order the complete nasi padang package. I think it's a special menu and has a good taste for everyone.
