Saturday night is the perfect time to just unwind with my loved one; usually, we choose to spend time together doing all sorts of fun things. We go out to eat, run errands, or even shop for clothes. My partner and I have similar tastes—we enjoy the same things—even though he isn’t too fond of crowded places, but trust me, he’ll make sure to please me with something I love.
Tonight, we hadn’t planned at all to spend time just relaxing together. We planned to grab coffee, but on the way, we changed our plans because we saw my favorite ice cream shop—which recently opened in my city—looked a bit empty. It’s usually pretty crowded, but tonight it didn’t seem so busy, so my husband and I decided to give it a try this time.
Mixue ice cream is very famous in my country; this ice cream brand has many outlets in almost every part of the city. Well, it just so happened that this ice cream shop opened a new outlet here a month ago. As ice cream lovers, of course we had to try it, especially my husband—he really loves ice cream.

The outlet area was quite spacious, so we planned to enjoy our ice cream right there. We immediately got in line and chose our favorite menu items. My husband and I ordered a mango sundae and a boba sundae. These two sundaes are my husband’s and my favorites; we really love this type of sundae.
Boba Sandae is my go-to choice; I absolutely love anything with brown sugar, especially ice cream. It’s smooth with just the right touch of brown sugar—sweet but not cloying. The boba is chewy but not hard, and there’s a subtle sweetness inside each pearl that seems to blend perfectly with the brown sugar.

Besides that, the mango sandae ice cream is just as delicious; the sweetness is spot-on, and the aroma and taste of the mango are so natural. The creaminess of the ice cream is, without a doubt, absolutely perfect.

In my opinion, Mixue has ice cream that suits my taste perfectly, and their drinks also come in a wide variety. However, I’m not a big fan of them, because in my view, this place is truly the king of ice cream.
Besides the delicious ice cream, the place is also very comfortable; I really love the photos taken here—they’re so bright and make the atmosphere even warmer. Scooping ice cream while chatting with my husband has truly become the most precious moment right now.
The price of this ice cream is quite affordable; for just IDR 16,000 for obe piece, I got this much ice cream. It’s very filling, but of course, after enjoying the ice cream, you’ll definitely get thirsty—so a glass of mineral water will do the trick.
