Soft, and very tasty, the sweetness is right on my tongue not too sweet, but if you want more sweetness you can add more sugar. But in my opinion this is more than enough, right on the tongue and very tasty. Now for those of you who have never tried sponge cake from corn, I think this is the right recipe and fits the tongue.
