Yesterday,my mum asked me to come to the house that she brought some stuff for me, on getting there, she gave me afang and palm fruit which she brought from the village. I was very happy about the gift. I stayed at my parents place to carryout this process, as seen in the picture below:

After the process, i had to bring it back home ,store it in my refrigerator for overnight.
Today, after dropping my son in school in the morning,i stopped by in the market to get other things for the soup.
ABOUT THE SOUP(AFANG SOUP,USING PALM FRUIT OIl AND OKRO)
This soup is one of our best native soups here in akwa ibom state, Nigeria, it is normally called Afang ke Abak,very delicious.
Afang ke Abak is mainly prepared with Afang ,okro and palm fruits oil. Without these important ingredients,u can't prepare it the way it should be.
Here i will be showing you the process of preparing these delicious soup, though most of the process i didn't snap because i was home alone,no one to do the snapping.
Ingredients: Meat,fish(Dry fish), periwinkles,Afang, okro, palm fruits , crayfish, maggi(seasoning), salt onions etc.
Things in the market now are not the way i expceted🙈🙈, so with these little ingredients of mine, ibwill use it in preparing Afang ke Abak, without missing words, all hand are not equal, should incase you want to try it , if you can afford large quantity, no problem.
Here are they procedure:

Washing of palm fruit inside the pot.
I cook it for about 30mins,
While on fire,i wash my meat, periwinkle, fish and pormo inside a different pot,i added my seasonings, salt,onions and pepper for it to steam.

I brought my palm fruit down from fire.

Washing and extracting my water for cooking.
After all this process:
I poured in the water i extracted from the palm fruit into the pot, i also poured in my steam meat,fish, periwinkle and pormo into the same pot, i allow it to boil for some minutes, i added my blended crayfish, pepper ,salt and maggi and allow to boil.
After 5 minutes ,i added my okro

Then finally,i added my Afang,turn to taste
Food is ready.
I off my cyclinder.
Like i had mentioned earlier, i couldn't take more pictures, is not as simple as it seem sha, it take time.
