Today I will be speaking on my inspiration for becoming a caterer and a decorator.
I never knew I will one day become a caterer or a decorator, but I found myself as one today. Though the inspiration and passion were there since I was a little child, it didn't just look like it will be my reality because my focus then as a child was to go to school, study hard, and get a white-collar job I've been dreaming for.
Wherever I come across a caterer, a decorator, or a chef, I admire them and wish I could be like them. I didn't know how to bake or decorate, but I love and wish to see myself doing it someday just so I can have it as a skill.
I love good food, yeah...no doubt! and that is why I love to cook to feed my high taste and also find a way to serve people with the taste of my food. Whenever there is a special event at my house or Sunday being a special day, I love to be the one to cook so people coming will be served with my food. I do that whenever we are having a visitor also.
Baking is one of the things I love doing as I am a lover of junk foods. Why spend money to be buying since I have the passion and can learn how to bake? Just as I love people to have the taste of my food, I will also serve people with my cake, small chops, etc. I proclaimed to myself.
I am a person that loves to use cardboard paper and clothes to design my room, bed, and to even create birthday wishes cards to friends using those items. So, I thought to myself, why not I learn those things from a professional so I could enjoy more of what I know. I then proceeded to learn catering and decoration so I can just enjoy my life and its benefits🤗🥰
I learned catering and decoration after my NCE, and I began to enjoy its benefits after some time. I thought to myself, how can people get to have the taste of what I am making? I then decided to monetize it so people can book me for their events, and through that, many people can have the taste and benefit from what I can offer.
I started making cupcakes and selling them at a cheaper rate in my hometown. I then proceeded in accepting offers from people to cover their events with my masterpiece of cakes, and small chops. I also give beautiful decorations that make their guests feel comfortable and at home.
In my passion for event planning. I would love to enroll in an advanced class so I can learn more in the industry on baking, decorating, and cooking of both Nigerian and intercontinental dishes so the world can have the taste of my food and have a comfortable place to stay. Instead of being just a caterer and a decorator, I will also want to be a chef someday as I anticipate and trust God for funds to enroll.
