Hello my dear friends and foodie Lover’s! I am back again and let me share with you all our lunch time in PUNGKO-PUNGKO SA FUENTE here in Cebu city Philippines. My eldest daughter and I are looking for lunch and we keep walking till we find this place. We saw from the outside a bunch of people. So we decided to get inside and find out what was in there. Then we saw a lot of foods , it was like a mountain of different fried foods eaten with Puso or hanging Rice.
We were being welcomed and guided by one of the vendors. He gave us a vacant bench chair and when we were seated in front of the mountain foods. For me I think this is a one of a kind experience. We are glad that we found this place. In front of us are fried Pork chop, fried chicken,fried Ngohiong,Lumpiang Shanghai,Crab meat,Hotdog, Longganesa and the Chicharon Bulaklak.
They file the foods and customers eat in front of it. First we were given food tongs to pick our dishes. We picked pork chop, Ngohiong, meatballs, embutido,Chicharon bulaklak and fried chicken.We shared the same table with two men because they were there when we arrived. I realized it was lunch time, that's why so many people are eating lunch there including us.
The plates were being wrapped by plastics and they gave us plastic to use in our hands for hand eating.
Then we only asked for four pieces of Puso (Hanging Rice). We prayed before starting to eat and enjoyed our lunch. I like the sawsawan or sauce where you dip your food before eating it.
The sawsawan has sliced onions and vinegar and it tastes good to dip the fried pork chop , chicharon bulaklak there. We just shared one bottle of twelve oz of soft drink then water.
After the men across us finished eating and paying, the vendor cleaned the space and then after it a group of people working in the government arrived and then they chose the table where we were at. Now we have the table with them. We just continued eating until we got full.
The whole place where vendors sell the same foods, and the price is very affordable. Different kinds of people are eating there like people in uniforms or those that are working in the offices,people who are rich because they are riding a four wheel and people who are less fortunate in life.
After we ate, I chose more pork chops and fried chicken for my youngest daughter who was left behind at home. We need to bring some for her that way, she can also eat what we eat for lunch.So She would be happy for our simple Pasalubong. That is what we did when we ate outside and a family member was left behind home. I pay then we leave the place with a full happy tummy. Imagined eating in front of those tasty fried foods? Whoa! That puts our appetite in the mood for eating. Plus at a very affordable price that is very nice.
We decided to walk around the place before we went back home. I think it was bad for our tummy to go back home and ride a bus . Sitting in the Bus while our tummy was full. Then we went back home.
