Attending a Halal Bihalal Event at a Friend's House

Last weekend as usual I would take the time to go out of the house for a while just to have fun and this time I was invited to my old friend's house to visit relatives or what is usually called halal bihalal, halal bihalal is our tradition after Eid al-Fitr to visit relatives or friends and coincidentally today I and my other friends held the halal bihalal event at my friend's house

When I arrived there, the event had already started and the decorations were ready. The combination of sage, cream, yellow and brown was truly beautiful in my eyes.

And so too with the various dishes. Super delicious dishes have also been served, my friend ordered nasi liwet tumpeng with various delicious side dishes in it such as fried chicken, fried noodles, shrimp sambal, vegetables and many more.

Nasi liwet tumpeng is a dish flavored with spices like bay leaves, lemongrass, and onions. Apart from rice cooked with spices, the side dishes are also very complete and delicious, there is fried chicken, shrimp sambal, vegetable fried noodles, and tempeh sambal which will definitely stimulate our appetite.The rice is shaped into a cone. I'm not sure how to cook it, as I've never tried it. But this tumpeng is delicious and aromatic.

and I can't wait to taste it, as usual I will take a plate to enjoy with my child, it seems he also likes this liwet rice, and my stomach is already feeling very hungry, I deliberately haven't eaten anything since I got home because I want to eat at this place

Oh yeah, in this place at my friend's house, I also met @nurfayWe have been friends for a long time, we happened to be friends at the same campus in the same faculty, yes, even though we rarely meet, only when there is an opportunity like this can we meet and don't forget, after enjoying the tumpeng rice, my friend Nurfay and I took a photo together as a moment of togetherness on this holiday.

Beautiful moments like this can never be forgotten, when we meet friends, we will definitely talk about many things because in reality, college friends are the ones who leave the most impressions in my opinion, heheheh

and yes after taking a photo together we also enjoyed other dishes provided by my friend, besides tumpeng liwet rice, it turns out there are many other menus available here such as tekwan, fruit snacks, blekfores cakes and fresh drinks, red syrup ice drinks which are very suitable to be enjoyed with tekwan, it seems like my friend who organized this event is a tekwan lover because I saw that every time there was an event at his house, tekwan was never left out,

Tekwan is a typical Palembang food, usually made from mackerel fish mixed with sago flour and spices added, cooked in a clear, fresh sauce. At first glance, it looks similar to empek-empek, and is also served with noodle soup.

I myself was also very curious about the taste, so I also took a bowl of tekwan and enjoyed it with my child, because I also brought my child here.

and after I tasted it, it turns out that this tekwan is delicious, the sauce is savory and the tekwan is also chewy, you can also taste the mackerel and as a complement, there are also wood ear mushrooms added to the sauce.

Below are the names of our friends who we have been friends with for 16 years, and we hope our friendship will last until we are old.

Maybe at another moment we will hold another gathering inthefuturebecause honestly, I really look forward to gatherings like this. Apart from being able to spend time with friends, we can also relieve stress from the work that has piled up at home or at work.

This is our moment of togetherness with our friends, which we can't believe is a friendship that has lasted 16 years, from when we were girls until now we are married and have children.
