Hi Fodis friends, how are you? I hope everyone is well. Like me today, I really wanted to enjoy steamed fish. So I opened the fridge to see if there was any leftover fish. As usual, I always stock up on fish for the next week. Besides being a housewife, I also work, so I don't have time to buy fish every day.
After opening the fridge, I found about 1/2 kilogram of red fish left. I usually fry this fish dry and make it with chili sauce, but I get bored of eating fish with chili sauce all the time. Especially today, I wanted spicy steamed fish. So, I made steamed fish with this red fish. I think red fish is also suitable for steamed fish.
Steamed fish with a rich spice base is something I really enjoy, so I went back to the kitchen to prepare the necessary ingredients, including onions, chilies, turmeric, lemongrass, lots of curry leaves, and lime leaves. Luckily, I can pick the curry leaves, lime leaves, and lemongrass in my backyard, so I planted them for easy cooking.
I don't think pepes fish tastes as good or fragrant without curry leaves. These curry leaves can add a delicious aroma to a dish, especially when making coconut milk fish sauce. I always sauté the curry leaves first.
Okay, back again with red fish cooked in pepes, I will show you the recipe and how to cook it to all of you here, especially for those of you who love pepes fish, please see the method that I will share below.

RESULTS
Taraa.. my homemade pepes fish is ready to be served, I served it by putting chili on top to add to the spiciness of the fish, because if this pepes fish is not spicy, it won't be delicious, right?
The fish and its spices were perfectly cooked, there were lots of spices, the fish meat was very thick so it was delicious when eaten with warm rice, and without waiting any longer I immediately took a plate of rice and a spoon to eat it, coincidentally I was also very hungry
