Hello foodies, happy to be able to share delicious and rich food here again. This time I will share traditional food that has a very distinctive taste and spices, and the presentation is also very varied now. His name is seblak.
Seblak is actually a typical Sundanese dish, but is very popular in my area. And many are sold in various seblak variants. Many people like this seblak, maybe because it tastes delicious and savory, so seblak is liked by people in my area.
It started with my daughter who felt hungry after college, then invited me to eat seblak at a simple stall that had just opened. We stopped at the seblak stall. There weren't many visitors, there were only a few because maybe the shop had just opened.
To order seblak, visitors choose their own ingredients according to their individual tastes. There appears to be a small display case that provides various ingredients and toppings for filling seblak.
My daughter chose the seblak ingredients according to her taste. She chose noodles, dumplings, fried meatballs, mustard greens, eggs and enoki mushrooms. After we finished choosing, we took the seblak ingredients to the cashier to calculate the price. And we paid 25 thousand rupiah per portion or around 1.5 dollars.
After we paid, the chef immediately cooked our order. It didn't take too long before it was finished and served.
Wow, it looks very interesting and delicious, the aroma really hit my nose, making our hungry stomachs even more so, I started to taste some of what I ordered. It tastes savory, spicy and the kencur taste is very pronounced. The typical spice for making seblak is kencur, so the seblak tastes different from ordinary noodle dishes.
In fact, the main ingredient in Seblak is crackers which are boiled and then topped with vegetables such as mustard greens. And usually topped with claws too. But this time, the seblak I ordered was made from noodles and topped with mustard greens, enoki mushrooms, dumplings, eggs and fried meatballs, the crackers were actually used as toppings too. For seasoning, use typical seblak spices such as garlic, chilies and galangal. They say this is contemporary.
The seblak sauce became a little thick, because it was topped with eggs. We didn't realize we had finished eating the seblak. The delicious, spicy taste really makes me addicted to eating it. And it looks like I can also try making it myself at home. Because the ingredients are easy to get in shops, and cooking is also easy, especially the spices are not too complicated to make.
Because the snacks were finished, we immediately went home. It turns out that eating seblak at this simple stall can also create quality time with my daughter, we talk a lot while eating seblak. It makes me happy to see my child telling lots of stories and growing very well.
Thank you all foodie friends, I hope your days are full of happiness and you can enjoy life happily. Regards.
