Really, sis? You've been missing out! Tamales are a traditional Mesoamerican dish made of masa filled with various ingredients like meats, cheese, fruits, vegetables, or chilies, and then steamed in a corn husk or banana leaf. They come in a variety of flavors and styles depending on the region. Ever been curious about trying one? Yet, even here, the restaurants usually don't make it, or if they do, they run out! Best if we learn to do it ourselves! It is kind of like Lo mai gai (糯米雞) which is glutinous rice and chicken filling wrapped in a lotus leaf.
