Welcome weekend. If I don't have any work to do, I will take my wife out of the house. Go to a place to eat for dinner. I did that on purpose to make her not making dinner again at home.
Often I joke with my wife. Hey no more onion smell, yes, agree?! Not a mockery. It is affectionate humor. Cooking activities mean that chefs at home will have the aroma of onions on their fingers. Did you guys notice about that?
Weekends are the time to let a chef in the kitchen have free time. This Saturday night I took my wife to her favorite restaurant NELAYAN KAFE.
This place is a popular Chinese cuisine. Especially Dimsum. Steamed dimsum and fried dimsum. Also some main dishes. Because this Chinese restaurant is popular, the price is quite pricey.
So usually I come here several times over several months. Meanwhile, it's been almost a year since I've been here.
This visit included celebrating New Year even though it wasn't actually the beginning of the year. A little late but it's better late than never.
This restaurant is classified as a family restaurant so there are lots of large tables with lots of chairs. Similar to the dining table in the family room.
There is a fried dish, taro filling with smooth chicken. This menu is a starter dish.
The taste is quite unique in my opinion and of course delicious. I'm really curious about how the soft taro can combine with chicken in a crispy dish that looks like a bird's nest in my opinion.
Next there is savory dimsum with creamy sauce. The sauce is called "Mentai Sauce" and is the best seller steamed dimsum in this restaurant.
Next, as main course, I chose Baked Creamy Rice. Contains creamy and savory cheese. I think this main course dish is quite healthy.
This main course is baked at the same time with various vegetables as filling, especially peas, red and green bell peppers, also mushrooms.
As topping for baked rice, there are big prawns. Prawns are my favorite so I'm happy that this rice menu contains my favorite toppings.
This restaurant has wall space that can be used for taking photos but I think it feels girly and I want to laugh. It's just that I have to take a photo as proof that I'm real on this blog. For fellow Hive here.
