We cook jam from peaches

in Foodies Bee Hive7 months ago (edited)

Good day, dear.

Today there will be a recipe for peach jam. I don't know the name of these peaches. They remind me of nectarines; when I make jam, they taste like pineapple. Very good, it will be just in time for my pies.
This is the first jam I make.

Ingredients:

2 kg of peaches
1,200 kg of sugar
0.5 teaspoon of citric acid.

First, peel the peaches and cut them into pieces. These are the pieces.

Place in a bowl.

Pour in sugar, first 1 kg, mix. Next, we will add it when the jam is cooked. We will taste it.

We leave the peaches to release their juice for 2 hours.

Peaches released juice. Put on fire, boil, and cook for 5 minutes. Since I did it in the evening, it should be left until the morning.

In the morning, see what color it is. Now you need to add half a teaspoon of citric acid and you will see how the color changes. It will become brighter than before.

We continue to cook for another 20 minutes. You can try whether there is enough sugar after the citric acid and add another 200 g. I added 200 g of sugar and continued to cook.

How to know if the jam is cooked? You need to put a drop on a plate. This drop hardens, and the jam is already cooked.

It can be poured into sterilized jars. How I do it, I will write later. And now we close the jars.

Look how beautiful it turned out. The jam is of a beautiful color, tasty and aromatic.

Bon appetit! Do with me, ask questions, I will answer them all.

Hi @successfullady

Hi @

Please read our community rules, especially number 4, which says:

Every user new to Hive, or new to Foodies Bee Hive, must include a minimum of three photos showing their face (of the total number of photos in each post), making their recipes.

So in your next posts, we hope you respect this rule.

We also recommend that you read this post carefully, it explains each of our community rules:

And this other too

Good day

I have read these terms. I will add the device on which I took the photo to the publication, but I will not show the photo with me, this is my rule. If you don't like my posts, just ignore them and I'll move on to my community. I have a lot of plans for cooking recipe posts at the moment. I will cook no more than once or twice a week, especially on weekends. Often I can't write.

Thank you for your understanding.😊
