Hello friends of foodies π₯°π.
Wishing everyone a healthier and abundance new year as we begin 2025 in good positive energy πππ₯.
And festivals are time for us to prepare different kinds of meals and recipes to treat family and loved ones, both continentals and traditional and this very recipe I want to share with you is one very special in my country Nigeria π³π¬ called βpepper πΆ kpomoβ
.This recipe is prepared from skin of a killed cow that is usually skinned out of the body and roasted with a necked fire π₯ to soften half way before soaking it in a water over night or days to keep softening. Its then washed properly with salt when one buys it, scraping off the black roast before cutting it in tiny sizes.
Cow skin is part of lean meat π₯© that is so suitable for many who wants to avoid fat because its just plain in nutrition but a delicacy we prepare as Nigerians π³π¬ to enjoy beers πΊ, scotch or wine π· because it contains lots of spices when being prepared. Honestly, it a recipe that every one loves to make to unwind .
Here I show you the ingredients and its step by step.
INGREDIENTS:
3 large roasted cow π skin
1 large cherry tomatoes π
5 fresh hot red pepper πΆ
1/2 thumb of ginger
Cent leaves π
Chicken seasoning cube
2 tablespoons of red palm oil
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
Salt to taste
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
I will start preparation of this delicacy by first washing the cow skin with knife πͺ, scraping it to clean properly.
Step 2.
Once the skin is clean I will cut it in tiny sizes.
Step 3.
Next is to add it in a pot for boiling, adding water .
Here added salt and cover to start cooking.
Step 4.

Step 5.
Once it cooks to tender , I will sieve off the water.
And will wash and slice the cent leave π.
Step 6.
And will fry the sauce by heating up the red oil and adding the blend tomatoes, pepper and salt.
And here above added the curry powder, cubes , grated ginger and cent leave.
