This time I went to a restaurant in Thailand. As a Muslim, I initially thought finding food in Thailand would be quite difficult, but it turned out not to be. Because in Thailand, there are several food courts or markets that sell various kinds of halal food. One of them that I visited this time was Mini Plaza or Halal food court. I don't know the exact name of this food court, but on the map I saw that name.
This mini plaza has several food stalls, almost all of which sell halal food. There are also several tables and chairs provided so you can eat in, but you can also order takeout.
Because at that time I had to be quick, so I just ordered at the first place I saw, I don't know what the name of the shop is, but they sell various kinds of typical Thai food, and all of them are heavy meals.
When I looked at the menu, I actually didn't understand it at all, and when I wanted to order from the seller, they couldn't speak English. So I just pointed at the picture of what I wanted to order, which was a very useful method.
Kaprao Thale
Kaprao Thale, that's the dish I ordered. Kaprao Thale (often called Pad Kaprao Thale or Pad Gaprao Seafood) is a fragrant and spicy Thai seafood stir-fry. This dish uses a mixture of seafood such as squid, shrimp, and clams sautéed with garlic, chilies, and Thai basil leaves, and served with warm rice and a fried egg. (Source: Wikipedia)
At first, I didn't know what to order, but after looking at some of the pictures on the menu, I decided to order this Kaprao Thale. The menu, with various seafood, looked interesting and delicious.
Squid, shrimp, vegetables, and chili slices are all mixed and sautéed. It's delicious, and I mix it with a little of the sauce I have with my rice. It's spicy and savory, and very delicious. The squid is tender and the shrimp are cooked well, a perfect combination. For one meal, this is a large portion for me.
I really like this, it's like home-cooked food, it's so delicious. Even though it's very spicy, I can't stop eating it.
Thai Tea
Then I also ordered a drink, but there were several other shops that specialized in selling drinks, and I chose to order from the shop that sold Thai Tea.
And the same thing as when ordering food, I also order by pointing to the picture of the drink I want.
I ordered Thai tea. For some reason, when I was in Thailand, I really liked this drink. It was delicious. The Thai tea sold at this shop also had a delicious sweet taste. The portion was generous and the price was affordable.
That's the food and drinks I ordered this time, very delicious. I will definitely come here again, whether to eat at the same shop or try another shop. For me, the food in Thailand is very delicious, everything is delicious, I have never tried bad food while I was here. Not only is the taste delicious but also the price is cheap and the portions are large.
