Hello guys....
How are you all? I hope you are all well and always happy. Meet me again, nice to meet you all. I'm back with my story about visiting a stall that sells various delicious foods and drinks.
This time I visited a stall that sells some typical foods from South Korea. Masisseo, that's the name of this stall, a stall that is made like Korean street food. It's very rare to find a stall like this in Medan, usually those that sell Korean food are only found in restaurants or malls and cafes.
That's why I was very interested in visiting Masisseo, even though they have been opening this stall for about a year, but I was only able to visit it now. This stall is only open at night, more precisely from 7 pm to midnight. and this stall is always filled with customers of various ages.
The menu choices at this stall are actually not many, but there are famous Korean foods in Indonesia, such as tteokbokki, ramyeon, japchae, kimchi, bibimbap and others. Not only are there spicy or salty foods, but they also have desserts such as hotteok and other snacks. For drinks, they provide mineral water, tea, chocolate, soda drinks and Soju. What is unique is that the Soju they sell is not real Soju that contains alcohol, but this is a soda drink with fruit juice, this is adapted to Indonesians who do not drink alcohol but still want to enjoy drinking like in Korea directly.
This time I only came with my friend, so we decided not to order too much food.
Teopokki
Teopokki or tteokbokki, on the menu it says teopokki so I don't know if it's right or wrong. But the point is this is rice cakes cooked with a spicy Korean sauce. Tteokbokki with additional sausage and odeng toppings has a delicious taste, spicy and savory. Although the size is not too big but it is enough for two people to eat, because we also ordered other foods.
The rice cakes have a soft and chewy texture, making it easy for me to chew them. The sauce is spicy and savory, and the odeng and sausage toppings add to the deliciousness of this menu.
Buldak Cheese RiceBowl
The next dish I ordered was Buldak Cheese Rice Bowl, a rice dish with spicy chicken, scrambled eggs, and melted cheese. It was delicious, perfect for my taste, just the right amount of spiciness, salty and savory cheese, and crispy chicken. A perfect combination, not too much in portion, but if you eat it alone, it's quite filling.
Hotteok
Hotteok is a pancake filled with bean paste or sometimes also palm sugar. And for this time I ordered it filled with melted palm sugar. Actually, the taste of this hotteok is delicious, the pancake batter is delicious with the right thickness and soft, but in my opinion the filling is too little. I wish the filling could be more, so it would be more fitting when eaten.
Mineral Water and Milkis
For drinks, we ordered mineral water for me and Milkis for my friend. And yes, it tasted like mineral water and Milkis in general.
That's the story of my friend and I eating at Masisseo. We enjoyed delicious food at affordable prices, and had a new experience. Well, see you next time.
