Hello my loving Hiveans,
How are you, Good evening dear friends. As usual, I hope that tomorrow will be a very successful day for you. I also really say to do those things that can really make you happy. If you want to know how I said this, I have the same sentence on my t-shirt.Today I brought you a sweet snack that you can enjoy with afternoon tea. This is really sweet. This is called 'Pana kewum'. Because its shape is really like the teeth of a comb. This is the Sri Lankan way of making pana kawum very methodically. So let's see how to make it.
Ingredients;
- A cup of wheat flour
- 150ml of coconut oil
- Five tablespoons of thick coconut milk
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- Half teaspoon of turmeric powder
- An egg
- Half cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
The method of making;
First add the egg in a bowl and add turmeric powder, half a teaspoon of salt powder and coconut milk to it and stir it well.
Then add flour and cumin seeds and mix well.
Make a flour mill.
Break into small sized balls.
Sprinkle some flour on the thin disc or tray and take one small ball and with the help of a pork, pull it to both sides to make patterns.
Now fold in from one side.
Now it is necessary to fry the prepared pana kewum shapes in normal flame till it becomes a normal golden color.
Now let's make the sugar syrup for the this. For that, add half a cup of sugar in a bowl and add 1/4 cup of water to it and dissolve it well in normal heat.
When dissolved in this way for five or six minutes, it becomes quite thick. Otherwise, most of the time, a lot of bubbles accumulate. At this time, the size of this sugar syrup is good. We now need to add the fried pana kewum shapes we have achieved to this.
This pana kavum is actually a sweet dessert. This is made in a way that is peculiar to us Sri Lankans. This is the right way. So this is really suitable for drinking tea most of the time.These pana kevum can be called as a delicious sweet that can be made and tasted very quickly.
Warmly thanking you for reading.
