The other day, after a workout... I felt completely drained of energy and felt something was wrong with my carb loading before my training run. Originally, my target was ten kilometres, however, I stopped at kilometre five and chose to listen to my body and rest.
While catching my breath and heart rate, I sat by the lake and drained the rest of my mineral water. Until I regained my strength, I then decided to go home and headed for the parking lot.
Because the distance between the running track and my house is quite far, I use a motorbike every time I come here.
On the way to home, I thought about what menu could slightly fulfil my daily protein needs, and I thought of a subscription ramen shop that has a rice bowl menu.
This is not my first time here. I often come here just to eat ramen, and just today, I tried their rice bowl menu. At first, I intended to order the beef rice bowl, but unfortunately... their rice bowl menu only has chicken. So, I ordered the random spicy chicken yakiniku donburi.
See?
It looks really pretty, doesn't it? Although it looks like a small portion in the photo, but trust me it's very filling and enough to replace my energy after running. One bowl consisted of: fluffy white Japanese rice, vegetable salad consisting of carrots, cabbage, and spicy mayo, lettuce leaves, sweet corn on the cob, and of course, chicken marinated in Japanese salted and spicy
It all came together in a delicious and cosy way. The yakiniku chicken was quite a lot and I was happy of course. It was a no-brainer that I decided to stop by here.
The texture of the chicken was perfect. Not tough or mushy, it was really cooked to the right doneness. Chewy and juicy, it doesn't leave any fishy odour at all. Moreover, it was mixed with the right seasoning. I don't know, I'm really impressed with this shop. Even though it's small, it's never empty of customers and all the menus are delicious!
I ordered the cold ocha as a drink. One more advantage here, the ocha is free refill and the price is very affordable.
The price for the Spicy chicken Yakiniku Donburi is only 26,000 rupiah or equivalent to 1.6 USD, while the cold ocha is only priced at 7,000 rupiah or 0.45 USD. How's that? Very affordable, right?
I always love coming here because all the staff are friendly, not once have I been treated badly here, everyone is pleasant and polite. After refilling my ocha once, I finished it off, and was happily full. My mood was back up, and my energy was good again.
I went to the cashier, settled my bill and left.
