Hey lovelies ❤️
It's your favorite girl @debbie-ese 😍
Welcome to my blog 🤗
It is a beautiful Tuesday morning and today I will be sharing with you a post that I tagged "JOIN ME ON OUR MORNING SCHOOL ROUTINE || HOW I PREPARE MY SON FOR SCHOOL". This is a popular trend on social media that is often shared using videos but I will be sharing mine here using text and picture. So, relax and get ready with your favorite girl @debbie-ese as I prepare my son for school today.
On a daily basis with exception to Saturdays and Sundays, I wake up as early as 5:30am. It is not always easy to wake up that early every morning considering the nature of work I do that requires so much energy and time. But when I remember that I would not want my son to get late to school, I would rush up from the bed. I believe you start teaching your kids punctuality from their tender age.
The next thing we do as a family after we wake up is to pray and commit the day into the hands of the God. This act is key to starting the day in the right way and to also maintain a positive mindset throughout the day. Then, once we are done with prayers and we exchange our good morning greetings, I begin to prepare his breakfast. I ensure that the breakfast is a simple but nutritious meal that he can eat as fast as possible and it will take him through till lunch time.
I don't joke with his breakfast. I ensures he eats well before leaving the house in the morning. This is highly important because I can't monitor his lunch. Most teachers don't have the luxury of time to feed kids or to pester them eat in cases where they don't want to eat. As soon as the breakfast is ready, my husband will take over to feed him. This is a practice that have enabled us to keep to time always. You can not underestimate the effect of teamwork in any situation especially during the early morning rush.
Multitasking is a skill that I have mastered overnight especially in the kitchen. So, while the breakfast is being prepared, the lunch is also being prepared on the other end. While my husband is feeding our son I continue with rounding up the lunch and setting his lunch box. The lunch box usually contains his food flask, a water bottle (staying hydrated is very important), a bottle of juice and a pack of snacks.
As soon as his dad finish feeding him, he will be put on his potty chair to poo. After he is done pooing, he will take his shower and get dressed in his school uniform. Note that all the preparation should be done latest 7:15 am to avoid going to school late.
He needs to be in school by 7:30 am. Well, there are days when we run out of time but we always ensure that we are punctual. My husband drops him off at the school in the morning and I pick him up in the afternoon.
I enjoy every bit of these activities even though it may be stressful but I'm glad to be doing it for my son. On rare occasions I take some time to rest before getting ready for my own work.
