asalam o alaikum ladies
Today I thought I'd share something a little different. Instead of a recipe, I'm giving you a quick look inside my refrigerator. This is where I keep the ingredients that help me prepare meals for my family throughout the week.
The first thing you'll always find in my fridge is fresh fruit. Fruits are an important part of my children's lunch boxes, and we also enjoy eating them as healthy snacks throughout the day.

These days, it is the season for mangoes and plums, so these two fruits are always stocked in our refrigerator. We love mangoes very much.we sometimes make a refreshing mango shake, and other times we simply enjoy them fresh.
Plums are another family favorite. They have a wonderful balance of sweetness and tanginess, making them a delicious summer treat. Keeping seasonal fruits in the fridge ensures they stay fresh, cool, and ready to eat whenever we want a healthy snack.
Of course, you'll also find plenty of fresh vegetables in our fridge. We always keep cucumbers because they are perfect for making fresh salads, especially during the hot summer days. Tomatoes are another must-have ingredient since they are used in many of our daily meals.

We also keep fresh mint and coriander in the refrigerator. Coriander is an essential ingredient for making kebabs, curries, and flavorful chutneys, while mint is something we enjoy with salads for its refreshing taste. Sometimes, we even prepare a soothing cup of fresh mint tea at home.
If you're interested, I'd be happy to share my homemade mint tea recipe with you in one of my future posts
You may also notice an eggplant in my refrigerator. Whenever I plan to cook vegetables, I usually buy them a day in advance and store them in the fridge to keep them fresh. I had already bought this eggplant because I was planning to make Baingan Bharta the next day, which is one of our family's favorite dishes.

Lemons are another item that is always available in our fridge, especially during the summer season. We often make fresh lemonade to help everyone stay refreshed, and my children really enjoy it.
Along with the lemons, I always keep Tukh Malanga (sweet basil seeds) in the refrigerator. I soak the seeds in water before using them, then add them to our homemade lemonade. They give the drink a cooling effect and make it even more refreshing on hot summer days. It's one of my favorite ways to prepare a healthy summer drink for my family.

Of course, you'll always find bread in our refrigerator. Bread is one of the breakfast essentials in our home and is used very often for my children's lunch boxes. Sometimes I make sandwiches, sometimes pizza bread which I've already shared the recipe for and other times I prepare homemade nuggets. That's why bread is something I always make sure we have.

I also usually keep burger buns in the fridge because my children enjoy homemade burgers from time to time. We don't have any buns at the moment, but they are normally a regular item in our refrigerator.
The two containers you can see in the picture contain leftover food. Instead of wasting it, I store it properly so it can be enjoyed later. I believe this is a simple way to reduce food waste and make the most of what we cook.

The upper section of my refrigerator is dedicated to breakfast items. This is where I keep cheese, butter, and a round container filled with sesame seed halva, a delicious sweet treat that we usually bring from Iran. We also keep condensed milk, which I use whenever I make homemade ice cream or other sweet desserts for my children. Along with these, you'll always find ketchup, sausages, and a few other breakfast essentials that make meal preparation quick.

If you take a look at the refrigerator door, you'll notice that one section is reserved for medicines. We keep basic medicines there so they're easy to find if, God forbid, one of the children gets sick.

Another section holds different flavors of custard powder, which I occasionally use to make delicious desserts for my family. I hope to share some of my favorite custard recipes with you in a future post. You'll also find food coloring for biryani, baking powder, vanilla essence, and a few other baking essentials. I like keeping these ingredients on hand so I can prepare cakes and desserts whenever my family requests them.

These are the items that you will almost always find in my refrigerator. As for the freezer, I'll save that for another post! I usually organize and freeze many homemade foods for the entire week, including lunch box items, kebabs, nuggets, homemade ice cream, and more. I think it would be fun to give you a complete freezer tour another time.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour of my refrigerator.
