You don't even need the orange gadget as you have to hold the key physically to copy. A simpler method is taking a hi-resolution photo. The owner won't notice you have made a copy. I have a 3D printer and a bad spare-key for my car. I will give it a try
That's what I'm talking about! A photo/video of a physical key is the equivalent of a published private key. Some key types are immune to this tho.
