There should be a stage in your life, where you should stay away from argument. Even if you are told 2+2=20, you will say it is correct.

I think it depends entirely on the person and specific situation. I tend to assent to a lot of people simply because I don't want to take part in an argument, but there are also plenty of times where the wrong answer is never correct.
