I’d choose a balance... enough money to live comfortably, but I wouldn’t want to hate my work for 20 years. 😅

I think that's the sensible middle ground. But if the two options were genuinely extreme, would you still choose enjoyment over a huge financial advantage?
That would make the choice much harder... but I think happiness still has a value that money can’t easily replace.
Adaptability to what I hate is not so certain. Like I won't be happy doing the job
That is understandable. Better to do what you enjoy than what you will regret later on
