All of a sudden this flew up and decided to spend a few minutes atop a tree down the hill from us!

The North American version has the bright white head and is generally referred to as a "bald eagle," but both it and the European white tailed eagle are "sea eagles" and closely related.
Such a majestic looking bird!! They always fascinated me with the size.
