Hive is a refuge from the social media norms and the algorithms that create echo chambers. Here we see all. I don't have to know your language or know where you are from. I can see a picture of the food you ate, the nature all around you, and your family's bright shining faces.
At the core of it all, we are all human beings on planet Earth spinning around the sun. We are more the same than we are different for we are human.
Hive is exactly what everyone says they want, and yet still their use of Web 2.0 social media persists. So for the rest of us enlightened folks, we get to enjoy the wonder of Hive.

I've seen movies where we colonize and mine the moon and then it explodes. One would think that would be a cautionary tale. But no. Instead we say, "Hold my beer" and proceed to do all manner of things anyway. Ah well. One things for sure, life on Planet Earth is never boring.
The moon is quite big... for us to reach its core its still quite an impossible thing.
I suspect the only way to "blow it up" (not quite blow up, but probably make it not possible to visit) is if we start building nuclear reactors under the moon's crust and then for some reason, they blow up. Over the surface, if they blow up is not a big deal, because most of the radiation will just vanish into space.
The movie that comes to mind is The Time Traveler with Guy Pearce. In 2037 the Moon colonists have a mining accident and things do not go well.
The Time Machine ? I think I haven't watched that one yet. At least I don't recall...

I've often wondered if crashing the lunar modules on the moon during the Apollo days just to see what would happen and what it would sound like (a bell) has something to do with the fact the moon is moving away from Earth.
