That's a really nice feature (maybe add a customised selection of which accounts belong to each group), and I agree that filtering goes over the problem. But I want to educate the "less savvy" users about the possible social "consequences" they are not aware... and yes, everyone can post as much as their accounts are allowed (RC wise), but then others might not see that as a great thing, and they may decide to downvote those comments. And I want to protect people from that potential behaviour, especially when I know many don't understand why.

When these are things triggered by apps, then the problem is exacerbated, because the users might not even understand what they are doing. And by using the app of someone, they might be thinking they are not doing anything wrong. And this jeopardises both the app creators (who, if they just allow these things to be facilitated with no regard for ANYTHING, then they are being irresponsible in my view, because they don't care about the consequences, the impact, etc) and also the user who gets clashes from the potential downvoting of their content at the expense of not understanding what's happening by just using an app. The experience will go down the drain eventually for everyone that don't use the "SAME EXACT" filtering options. And then it's when stupid wars might begin...

Everyone is still able to post anything they want... but if tomorrow a game allows you to comment via snaps (a place architected for a short communication format), tons of comments that basically just show the progress of a game... then without a general consensus on how snaps should work, it makes things less valuable in my opinion (someone could just put those comments into a particular community for example, which does not polute the experience of human based snaps communication). I am speaking for myself... I would not use just 1 tool to make my life easier just because others don't offer me the same experience. My reaction would be to actually stop checking snaps...

So, with this, I want to convey that, in my opinion, app creators should care about the consequences of others using their software. For good and for bad. The way should be influencing the good behaviours and disincentivising the bad ones while still allowing freedom. So that we all get more value for all we are doing.

See this comment for example, is way bigger than a "snap" usual comment, because I used a specific app, but because this is just a comment, there is no limit on characters... if I use a normal interface for commenting. And if I keep doing these very long-format comments, then I am sure some people might not like it... and they are within their right to start downvoting me for it, signalling they don't think I should be rewarded for this action/content/behaviour, etc.

I hope people understand what I am trying to say with this. After all, I want the same as everyone else: more value!
