The largest pitcher of my Monkey Jars plant has opened up!
I hope it will attract a lot of tiny flies and mosquitos it can catch!

I need to try this technique of attracting mosquitoes when summer fully comes. Does it capture them inside the jar for good?
The plant lures the insect into the pitcher with a smell.
The insect then falls into the liquid inside of the pitcher. The plant then dissolves the insect.
