I am making a wordpress / woo commerce enabled site to let people who visit my upcoming art exhibition in October purchase my art by scanning a qr code on site! Hoping the lack of friction to sales will lead.. to sales!
I feel like I might be over complicating it, but it will have stripe integration, and once I build it, I can clone / reuse the logic for future exhibitions, or to sell prints of existing work to local audiences.
Have you ever purchased art from a local gallery / exhibition - if so, how did you do it?
That sounds like a smart setup... QR codes make it super easy for visitors! I haven’t bought art that way before, but at galleries I usually just pay direct to the artist or via card.
