Arch linux is treating me really nicely so far. I am loving the fact I can set up things that wouldn't work at all on the immutable OS I was running before!
I started using the MXLinux flavor of Arch on my main desktop last year, and have been very pleased with it, generally.
In the last year I've gone from Mint to Endeavour OS to Bazzite to Arch. Arch only for the last ~24h though!
LOL, I went through almost the exact same progression before landing on MX! 🤣
Green Ubuntu was too archaic for my hardware - I still ran it for month Endeavour OS made me cry because I didnt wanna read. Bazzite for almost a year, but I got sick of the immutability. I think I am home now
We have Ubuntu linux in the college education included. Its easy and so everyone use it.
I've never used Arch, but I know it has fans. I've used variants of Ubuntu for many years. Will you do a write-up on what it makes possible?
I can, from complete n00bs perspective. The strength is you can do whatever you want. The weakness of it is you can do whatever you want. :p
