Hehehe, I do think it offers a value proposition, but it's declining, and what I don't understand is how something as beautiful and great as Hive is in this situation.

That’s a really good question. Many people only get it when it’s gone. I cannot imagine Hive being gone forever, it’s part of my life for years now. And there‘s no Place like that and I checked out A LOT of places.

Every social network has a closed database and use algorithms to feed the content as it brings them the most profit. The closed db means nobody can find alternative feeds of posts. HIVE has posts onchain and anybody can find all post with the right tools.
Maybe if storing things on chain in human-readable text is utilized in products

For me it’s the unmutability. Nobody can censor or delete your blockchain posts. The value of HIVE coin may fall but your content is still there.
Maybe my question needs to be improved.

From an investment point of view we have to be honest: not really. The price is falling vs Fiat, Gold and BTC since years now. Might change at some point but who knows.
But here in the ecosystem it has the same value as always: Upvoting with the same Power (in HIVE) as before and being able to transfer value peer to peer.
What do you think, Hurt?
It’s a complicated question on what buying Hive’s value proposition is.
I’m not sure. I’m mostly in discovery mode right now and trying to figure out what other people think.
