People will leave Hive in a heart beat if they don’t feel valued.
We all can support each other and make everyone’s time and effort worth it.
I’m not saying vote for the sake of voting. But spread them out and support others!

I think we needed more use cases for HP. That would solve part of the problem.
Once I thought of something like this: the % of HBD savings would be drastically reduced to 5, and according to your HP (which is your own, not counting delegations), you would earn a 1% bonus, so 5k HP +1%, 10k +2%, 15k +3. We could add +1% for every 5k or 10k of HP staked.
HBD APR for example. It's higher than the APR of HP, maybe if it increases by the ammount of HP. Like having a base APR and max apr determined by witness, the range would be determined by HP amount.
make it a culture on hive. upvotes keep people here. makes them feel valued.
I personally think that the votes are still holding up, despite the price drop and the discouragement.
The problem is that these votes are kept among a privileged few. Many curators and whales should expand and seek to support other (news or not so news) authors.

that’s exactly it. and why hive has never exploded. the good ol’ boy group has limited vote distribution to their buddies and shunned anyone that spoke up and did things differently. culture needs to change.
Yes... But well, it's also understandable that those who have money prefer to support those they've known for 6 to 8 years here on Hive rather than someone with only 2 years (like me, for example).
That, and the fact that they are overprotected is big.

We definitely need greater distribution. If everyone increases their HP, more votes, more value, more people feeling valued, that's it.
yeah but the overseers don’t want everyone having a voice and wider distribution. they like their control
That's the downside of the network, something we needed to change, evolve as a community, so that those with a lot of HP would somehow think more carefully about their actions and votes.
