This is one say to look at it, but I'm not sure it's as bad as you imply. Picking these family members is just a place holder. If a "real" candidate was picked, somebody who intends to run, that gives them the incumbency advantage. That way, the election is skewed their way.
I doesn’t matter how many excuses you can find for this situation, @railroadmccoy, it still isn’t and will not be a democracy. It’s a Corporatocracy that is sucking all the value from you, and eventually it will come to suck blood.
