Hello everyone👋
So, what's one fear you've overcome? Or what's one fear you want to overcome?

Mine is stage fright. I feel somehow standing before a crowd to talk. Even though I'm trying my best to get over it by facing it instead of avoiding it.. but then, I'm still there.

Public speaking yes, my fear as well. I am not much talkative.

Ohhh, yeah. You gerrit

Stage fear is so real. And, I think knowledge is something which gives ys confidence. Knowledge, not in literal sense. If one knows the ball he is playing with (the topic) and against whom ((the audience), one can really make progress. However, it is easy said than done. Good Luck with your journey.

Have a beautiful day!

So real.
I love the way you concluded. It is easier said than done. I've tried my best to speak publicly a lot of times just so to overcome it. It is working, but just to an extent. It seems the bigger the audience, the more the fear.

I used to had the same fear. I practiced a lot, and stopped carrying too much. For me, knowledge was the best response.

Huhm, that's good. I hope I find the best response to mine too. Because even most times when I know what to say and the lecture I'm to deliver, I still find myself feeling somehow.

Take your time, and it will workout. Good Luck 🥰

Thanks a lot, sir.
Do have a wonderful day ahead

Public speaking

Definitely

It's the fear of making mistakes. I want to overcome that fear to be successful.

Huhm. I like that.
It is definitely one to overcome, we will definitely at one point or the other make mistakes either big or small.

Over the years, I have overcome the fear of failing. It was really hard for me to do tho, and sometimes it normally flashes back, but it's already defected.

Wow .
That is huge. I'm glad you've been able to overcome it.

Thank you sir.

Very much welcome 🤗

Same here... That stage trauma is something else 😅.
Unfortunately, I haven't found myself in front of an audience to see how much afraid I still am.

Huhm. I think a lot of people battle with it.
I'm trying my best though, and it's working somehow. But it seems the more the crowd, the more the fear 😨

But wait oo, I can say you get to fight yours given your occupation at the moment. I honestly just remembered that.

I hope we all get over it 🤭

Yeah. It's helping. But I went to deliver a lecture last week during our general CDS program and it was 🤦... A lot of people were present, including community members. And the topic was feminine hygiene... wasn't easy
All thanks to God though. It got better towards the middle 😁

I bet there's a female in your crew so why do you have to be the one giving the speech???
That alone is enough to heighten the fear.
I still best believe you did well 😁

Yea, I did my best.
Our LGI insisted that the president of each group must be the one to talk 😔.

Ohhh no wonder you had to.... And you'll do much better next time 🥰

Yeah.
Definitely 💯
Thanks a lot, sis 💋

I had stage fright.
A lot it started back home.
Where I felt every other person is better than me.

Till I got into university.
And joined a fellowship.
They helped me relax and work on my own pace.

Becoming a drama director had me being on stage always.

That's great
I do well when acting too. But when it comes to delivering a speech and such, it's another thing. Most of the time I do it as if I'm acting though 😂

I want to learn how to speak up to an elderly person. I really want to. Sometimes I get pissed by people older than me and I wish I could tell them how they hurt me without being rude. Because the more I keep quiet because of home training, D more I hate them. And hate is strong.

Ohhh
That's huge. I really hope you get the courage some day. But then it's good to also master politeness before then. I actually do not have a problem with it. I talk, but respectfully.

Yeah that's why I said not rudely but in a polite manner.

The one major fear I overcame was nursing... Lol...

I used to be scared of nursing exams because it's always tough but then, I overcame it.

Wow...
That's good of you.
I've heard that from some friends too when they're about to take certain exams.

I'm happy for you 😊
