I honestly do not think people hear the words, "I'm proud of you," often/enough. As simple as it may sound it might be all that a person meeds to keep going, to do more, or to not give up. Ever been told that? How did it make you feel?

Aww, thank you! I think this happens because we aren't used to praising people for their efforts. Rather, we reprimand.
But if we said it more often, many people would feel more confident, loved and encouraged to put in more efforts in anything good their hand finds to do.
