I learned about two sisters who have been living for over 10 years without talking to each other, they had a fall out many years ago and swore never to relate with each other again. I think it's a crazy thing to happen but I hear that's just one of many cases.

So I ask this...

Do you see yourself as someone who holds grudge or say it out and let go?
Do you respond to someone who is trying to get you angry, whether the person knows or not? And how do you show your displeased reaction most of the time, calmly or harshly?

Sort:

That's a lot. Staying together for 10 years + without communication. I doubt if I can call them humans 😂, like...
Well, I'm not that type of a person though. I don't keep malice or hold grudges. If you offend me, I say it out. And if it requires that we go out separate ways, then I still try to make sure we end things on good terms, not the type we will see each other after few years and not be able to say some greetings 🤞

Oh no! They weren't together anymore, like they stopped being together when they swore not to relate with each other again.

Ohhh, my bad 😔
Even still, they are siblings for crying out loud . What could have transpired between them both to warrant that 🤦

If they even decide to tell what it is, I'm pretty sure you'd be shocked they held grudges for such. 😂

You gerrit... Like.
And am sure both must have been feeling the urge to talk it out, but then one could be expecting the other to reach out first 👌

You can't be sure of that o, the last time I heard about them, one still gets very angry when any about the sister is said in her presence. 😂

Ahaha
That's huge o
I pray nothing bad happens to either of them o, but if it does it's obvious they wouldn't even bother.

I pray so too.

That's a good attitude because I believe it is those we love that can offend us so we're bound to forgive them if we really love them.

Exactly 💯

Bombastic side eye 😂

I know right?! 😂

I don't hold grudges for long. If something bothers me, I'd rather say it out understand where the other person is coming from, and move on, but letting go doesn't always mean going back to how things were....

Yeah, letting go is needed so some things don't repeat itself especially when it stirred you up before.

That is just it 💯

If someone deliberately tries to get me angry, I usually don't give them the reaction they're looking for. I can be calm about it like I'm always calm, but if a boundary is crossed repeatedly, I'll make my displeasure very clear

I believe that attitude is a very good one for people who deliberately try to annoy you, they will get tired or feel foolish when you give them the silence of calm. 😅

That is just the honest truth. And I'm glad I don't have such people around me or do you?

Not at all, I just hear in stories of people who intentionally frustrates people around them. It's sad really.

So sad.
But then, personally, someone can't frustrate when when it's not that they tie us rope together 😹🤣

Some people are specially endowed with the act o. Even without nothing to instigate frustrating people, they just activate it somehow

Exactly... When the English people said, silence is the best answer for a fool, we thought they didn't know what they were saying

But then, two sisters not talking together for that long time and they are living together. That is really crazy

They are not living together though, they are older women. But it still is crazy.

Even though
Upon still.... they are blood sisters. They can definitely do better.

I wonder what they are teaching their children. 🥲

Definitely, hatred and a bad example. Cos children like these will never grow up to fully understand what family love is except they unlearn it....which might kinda be hard

I would say I show my displeases calmly cos I'm always careful of not end up hurting people with my words just because they hurt me with theirs.
You know the phrase of "2 wrongs can never make a right".... So it's always on my head

That's a good phrase to remind yourself of always, many make matters worse because of harsh response.

Exactly and things doesn't always work that way. Although some will say it's good to use fire to cure fire at times 😀

Lol no o, you are for peace always. ✌️

😂 how do you know and what if I want to change

My clause may only be that, I don't react or it's rare for me reacting to issues immediately cos I wouldn't wanna say something I'll later regret so I ensure that I get calm from the tension of the situation and by then my choice of words are active and functional

Yeah, I think 9 out of 10 if not all 10 have to be calm before they respond for them not to say what they'll regret. But sadly, only few try to calm down. Cool you're one of the few.

Yeahh it takes practice too to have such habit

And two blood sisters living under same roof without talking to each other seems so strange. Are they possessed? 😂 Even if they are living separately, it shouldn't be worse like that

No, they live separately. They are adult sisters o. Elder women self. 😂
Together or not, whatever it is that happened should have been long forgotten na.

Yes now that was what I was saying. It should have been settled

Too bad, that's not the case.

It is well for them o

10 years, 😳 and they live in the same house. 😳😳 That's weird.
But anyways they tried,😅 I just imagine the kind of humans who exist in this world.
For me, I get easily angry, but I don't let it control me, so ever someone tries to pull my legs, I just look at them and smile.

And shift from their present, then after they most have finished talking or misbehave, I go to them and tell them the reason I gave them space. So I get my heart free and my mind at rest. That's my biggest win in life..

Biggest win indeed, very few can do this.

We all can, just that we allow some certain things control us.😊

It's a really crazy story when I first heard it. Good you have that control over your reaction.

But, did they win any award?😂😂
