Back in the day when prices went down, there was furious, passionate debate on what we need to improve, as a project, a community, as entrepreneurs.

The entire history of Hive since forking from Steem has been one of smooth, persistent decline. And nobody's talking about it.

Failure from the top down.

I get the frustration. The tech is solid, but we definitely need more buy-pressure or better 'sinks' for all this inflation if we want to see the price reflect the value of the network. What do you think is the biggest thing missing right now

I stand by the idea that it's just inherently unworkable. The argument was that 'Hive' isn't a corporation in and of itself and so there should be no promotion by design since nobody owns it. or more, promotion should happen by the community just existing. Ergo, no promotion

Actually, Hive does have a "marketing department" via the DHF. It funds millions in promos like the Rally cars and the wells in Africa. It’s not that promotion is missing; it’s decentralized. Is the issue the type of promo, or just that it hasn't created the buy-pressure yet?

I think this isn't really the same thing; to make a business, one has to take great risk and with great capital. DHF is more a fundraiser. Very few are using their own capital, and nobody is finding outside investors for mainstream appeal, as far as I'm aware

Mind changer over time. :)
