The amount of Juniper Berries on this tree is not something I've seen before.

Is this the juniper with the poisonous berries, or are these the berries used in cooking, for example, in preparing meat products? :)

Pretty sure these are Western Junipers and are edible. I've heard of them being used for jam and gin/vodka.
Fun fact I just learned researching Juniper Berries... they are actually a seed cone and not a berry. Who knew. hahaha
But there are no berries there except for the cones... I thought there was both. I've never seen juniper with berries, and in reality, I'm not familiar with it, but its cones are the same as those of thuja and cypress :)
