I think you're playing in demo mode. You need to log in with your keychain, and then it will work normally. The 3-minute watering interval is a feature of demo mode.

You need to use the Keychain app. You're on your phone, right? You have to download the app from your app store (Android or iPhone) and set it up with your account and keys, and then you'll be able to access it from there.
