A friend of mine went clothes shopping and exceeded her budget. ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ Much to the extent of having no money left on her to get back home and then, had to reach out to me.
Few days after that, I found myself in the supermarket and almost did the same, because of oats. Almost.
How do you maintain discipline while shopping? ๐

I know right. As hard as that sounds, fighting the urge is equally very much effective.
Oof x_x I use cash in a budget binder in person and only use card for online shopping (as little as possible) from my computer where I also keep my budget. Been a game changer.

I highly recommend it especially to people who don't want to do it because it's very inconvenient having to find an atm to take money out XD (I have to pay atm fees but they're still cheaper than card fees!)

Well, I've had to experience such too and most times I just reach out to anyone who's home, maybe a friend or neighbor and ask if they have some cash at hand, would just take bike home from wherever it is and pay him at home. But...
...but then again I've learned something not really the hard way though. I was glad I could later sort the bike man that day before he realized I don't have anything on me ๐ so ever since then I make sure I have my Tfare back home separated no matter what ๐

Ohh yeah. I hardly do that but it helps as well, when there's indeed someone around to come to your rescue.
I maintain discipline while shopping by writing like list before going to the market and I make sure I do not go out with money that is above my budget
Ahan! I do that too and most times, even when I'm not the one going to shop. It helps a lot in tracking ones purchases. ๐คญ
And also shopping to the point of not having money to come back you know what I do when I go to the market I bring out my transport money and put it somewhere separate no matter how I spent if you finish it have finished I must have money to go back to my house
