Yet some governments still lie about how much solar we would need. We live fairly far north, but still get good solar. Even in winter we get some. It keeps getting cheaper.

They can lie, but in the end people will realize that solar helps them with cheap energy.
One to two years ago, there was a massive campaign against heat pumps in Germany (politics, media).
