Our weekend is Friday and Saturday. My day went well, working and socialising at the same time, resolving conflict between 2 of my favorite coworkers and now I am back from running some errands for my mother. Parents worry about us but the day you start worrying about them will be the day you know they are old and the roles are reversed and everything you do for them is a good deed.

Tbh the reversed roles may sound normal, but at the core, they are the scariest of all. By the time, we realize the situation; it is already late. And then we start to understand how our elders - especially parents - felt about everything.

Looking at standards for different grades, especially elementary and it has me thinking. There's a LOT of them. It's disservice to the children to try hitting every single one of these standards instead of focusing on a few key skills or concepts and doing them well. Especially when you factor in the post covid/AI world we live in now: getting through any material takes a LONG time. If you actually want kids to learn, you have to slow down and give them a chance to digest the material.

Last night at the Galaxy Bingo with a nice and fun time. We were surprised by the bingo room full of people at 1 am in the morning and the full parking lot of relative new and nice cars.
